- Definition
Facial Fillers
Facial Fillers are substances that can be injected into your face to fill lines and wrinkles and add volume to areas such as the cheeks and lips.
Non-surgical Nose Job
Nose to Mouth Lines
Cheeks & Temples
Our aesthetic professionals can restore youthful fullness to cheeks using dermal fillers. By treating the temples we can also help to lift the lower face tissue.
Tear Trough
If you are troubled by dark circles or hollows beneath your eyes, dermal fillers can be a great option to address this problem by rejuvenating and plumping out the skin.
Jawline & Chin
Dermal fillers can be used to enhance the overall appearance of your jaw and chin, adding definition, reducing sagging and wrinkles and contouring and smoothing your profile. Fillers can adjust the chin position, achieving the ideal balance between the nose, lips, and chin.
Marionette (mouth corners)
Using dermal fillers, we can add volume to areas such as the mouth corners to soften lines and folds as well as reverse the ‘sad face’ appearance. This treatment works well alongside lip enhancement.

FAQs
Unfortunately, UK regulations for administering fillers are “loose” to say the least (let’s just say the shed in the garden is not ideal!). You don’t have to be a doctor or medically trained. You need to have a certificate in fillers and that’s it. You don’t even need a registered premise. It’s very important to ask about qualifications. Pick a practitioner who is medically trained, and who is regulated. We have level 7 qualified injectors here at DHA.
Dermal fillers help restore lost volume, definition and aid with supporting the surrounding tissues. As we get older (from the age of 25!), our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin, our fat pads and muscles thin out and drop, which all contribute to the ageing face.
Yes, it is possible to dissolve dermal fillers, using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase (hyalase).
We have teamed up with Vivacy, Styalge to provide amazing dermal filler results. These fillers contain hyaluronic acid and are specially cross-linked which aids with the filler viscosity and elasticity, both important properties for aesthetic results. They also contain lidocaine to help with pain management (phew!).
This is totally depending on the type of treatment and the individual. Results can vary up to 6 + months.
Filler results are usually instant. It does take time for the filler to settle and for the surrounding tissues to adapt. With good fillers the body will respond positively by producing its own collagen, helping with better integration and longer-term results.
So, there is always a risk of bruising and swelling, we of course will limit these risks as best as we can. Recovery time varies but usually, you can return to day-to-day activity immediately whilst being careful. Post-treatment, there may be tenderness, bruising and swelling as mentioned. This is normal and will subside within a few days.
There are specific techniques for results required including the use of a needle or a cannula. There are certain areas of the face where a combination of both will be necessary.
As long as you follow procedure and don’t ‘overdo it’. It comes down to how much treatment you are having and how regularly. ‘LESS IS MORE’. However, it will also come down to how good the filler product is and the way it has been placed into the lips. Your injector should advise you on this.
We carry out a thorough examination and medical history to ensure you are suitable for treatment. We will safely treat you to limit the risks of bruising and swelling, As long as you follow the pre and post-operative information and you chose a registered and safe practitioner, you will be in good hands.
