Periodontal (gum) disease – from £60 per session (sessions are a minimum of 30 mins and you may require more than one session)
There are many reasons we can become vulnerable to gum disease and certain things will more greatly influence and determine the extent and speed of its progression, such as medical background, social background, family history or poor oral hygiene. Gum disease falls into two main categories, Gingivitis and Periodontitis.
Gingivitis
Involves the bleeding and swelling of your gums. In its early stages, it is totally reversible with regular maintenance and a good oral hygiene routine, however, if it’s persistent and left un-treated it can turn into Periodontitis.
Periodontitis
Periodontitis is an infection of the tissues surrounding your teeth, including ligaments and bone. Any damage to these tissues is permanent and can eventually result in the loss of teeth.
Our dental care professionals can assess your oral health using a comprehensive screening process which allows them to determine and recommend the most appropriate and effective treatment plan.
Note: We strongly recommended you try to see a dentist regularly, we can also refer for specialist treatment if necessary.
Please note that if local anaesthetic or radiographs are required, additional fees may be chargeable. If a full assessment is required, a fee will be discussed with you by the dental care professional, depending on the treatment requested initially
