Why Choose Dental Health and Aesthetics?

At Dental Health and Aesthetics, we offer an exclusive drop in service specifically for dental hygiene. This means that you can visit one of our dental care professionals, without having to see a dentist initially. We are able to assess and tailor a treatment plan that suits you, without the pressure of having to see a dentist first. This is a one of a kind service offered only by DHA in Essex. The concept behind this is that we pride ourselves on giving patients the freedom to access dental hygiene whenever they want to. You can book online if you wish, contact us the usual way or walk in directly.

If you have not seen a dentist or hygienist for some time, we are able to carry out a full assessment alongside your dental hygiene appointment, including if necessary, radiographs. We can then discuss your treatment plan at length. Most treatment can be carried out within the remit of a dental care professional at DHA. Anything else would need to be carried out by a dentist, in which we can aid with referrals to local dental practices.

Periodontal (gum) disease treatment – from £120 per session

There are many reasons we can become vulnerable to gum disease and certain things will more greatly influence and determine the extent and speed of its progression, such as medical background, social background, family history or poor oral hygiene. Gum disease falls into two main categories, Gingivitis and Periodontitis.

    Gingivitis

Involves the bleeding and swelling of your gums. In its early stages, it is totally reversible with regular maintenance and a good oral hygiene routine, however, if it’s persistent and left un-treated it can turn into Periodontitis.

    Periodontitis

Periodontitis is an infection of the tissues surrounding your teeth, including ligaments and bone. Any damage to these tissues is permanent and can eventually result in the loss of teeth.

Our dental care professionals can assess your oral health using a comprehensive screening process which allows them to determine and recommend the most appropriate and effective treatment plan.

Note: We strongly recommended you try to see a dentist regularly, we can also refer for specialist treatment if necessary.
